As our guides are passionate locals, they are more than happy to give additional advice on other attractions or places to visit during your stay in Adelaide.

Vintage Chef @ Chateau Yaldara

Travel through the north eastern suburbs into the Adelaide Hills and continue north towards the Barossa Valley townships of Williamstown and Lyndoch to arrive at Chateau Yaldara, home to the popular Vintage Chef café.

Enjoy a fully cooked breakfast overlooking the grounds of the iconic Chateau on the banks of the North Para River. The Chateau was founded by Herman Thumm in the 1940's after he migrated from Europe and established one of the first cellar doors, motels, reception centres and major tourist attractions in the Barossa.

Today 1847 wines are the proud owners of Chateau Yaldara as they continue Herman's vision with estate grown, hand-crafted wines, locally-produced artisan foods and a truly Barossa visitor experience.

Cimicky Wines

Next arrive at Cimicky Wines, the hidden gem of the Barossa Valley. Cimicky produces premium wines reflecting the unique qualities of their vineyards and the Barossa.

Hidden among the vines and surrounded by lush gardens, the Cellar Door is a sight to behold. Built in the 1970s, Cimicky Wines is one of the 5 castles in the Barossa Valley and the panoramic views are breathtaking, making you feel as though you could be anywhere in the world.

Take time to enjoy a viewing of their underground barrel hall and enjoy a tasting of their wines which are a true expression of the terroir and made with traditional methods.

St Hallett Wines

Established in 1944 by the Lindner family, St Hallett Wines represents the very spirit and of winemaking in the Barossa Valley. For most of that time it was owned, or part owned, by one family, the pioneering Lindners, who arrived in the Barossa from Silesia in 1838.

Over the years, St Hallett has built up a deep understanding of the rich tapestry of vineyard sites and climates in the Barossa, and with this, an appreciation for and understanding of local growers and the finest vines and highest-quality parcels of fruit the Barossa can offer.

By tailoring fermentation and maturation to each parcel, the St Hallett winemaking team reveal the rich textures, depth and diversity of Barossa wine, as it should be.

Today get the opportunity to taste some of the award winning wines produced by St Hallett.

Mengler Hill Lookout

Next we head for the Barossa Ranges and gain some elevation to arrive at the local Mengler Hill Lookout. Here you will take in the uninterrupted views across the Barossa Valley.

Your guide will take this opportunity to point out different landmarks and explain the development of the Barossa over the generations. Make sure to get a photo with this majestic backdrop.

Peter Lehmann Wines

A fifth generation Barossan, Peter Lehmann first established the Barossa winery that bears his name in 1979. It was a brave decision made to support the local grape grower families whom were facing great financial hardship during a difficult time in the region.

Today, Peter Lehmann Wines is renowned as one of Australia’s most highly regarded wineries and the wines are a celebration of the Barossa community and their longstanding relationships with grape-growers across the region.

Peter Lehmann Wines offers a range of premium wines that express the unique and distinctive characteristics of the Barossa. Enjoy the opportunity to experience a wine taste of some of the portfolio on offer in the 1880's built Hoffman Winery, now home to the Peter Lehmann Wines Cellar Door. Also partake in the flavours of the region with the iconic "weighbridge" platter style lunch showcasing local produce from the region.

Seppeltsfield

One of Australia's oldest wineries, Seppeltsfield was founded by Joseph Ernst Seppelt in 1851. Today the winery is known for the Seppeltsfield Para 100-year-old Tawny with the original 500 litre barrel being first cellared in 1878.

The estate is home to the Jam Factory studio and gallery which consists of artisans and makers producing hats, leather goods, ceramics and knives just to name a few and Vasse Virgin where you can experience the wonders of olive oil and its therapeutic benefits.

Enjoy time at Seppeltsfield to taste some of their wines and explore the different offerings throughout the estate.

Travel back to Adelaide

On departing the Barossa Valley, you will experience the picturesque Seppeltsfield Terraced Vineyard prior to travelling past the township of Gawler and through the Adelaide Plains to arrive in Adelaide by 5.15 pm.
